I’m Raquila-D’Nai (it’s a mouthful but sounds like, Ruh-kill-uh Duh-nae, hope that made it easier)! As a military spouse and stay-at-home mom, it is important for me to not only care for my family now but to look ahead and prepare for life after active duty. Add to my list of titles blogger, author-in-the-making (if I can sit long enough and actually type out the thoughts swirling around in my head) and crafting connoisseur. My friends joke that I have 86.7 collegiate degrees but I’ve earned three degrees in psychology and counseling and hold a certification as a life coach. I have found my power not in titles and diplomas but in contentment and discovery. As a crafter, word fancier and master-doer-of-stuff, I have honed in on what makes my heart tick (beyond my handsome man and two incredibly adorable girls). I am drawn to words and encouraging others. I use the skills I have refined within our four walls to serve others as a Concept & Solution Developer. Basically, I use my ever-flowing creative juices to help those who need a shot of creativity infused into their business and lives.
Here, you will have access to my blog where I will share with you the truths of my heart, adventures of life and motherhood. I will bridge them together and show you how we are crafting our own unconditional life while growing a business from the ground up. I don’t promise to fix your life but I bet you will laugh a bit, get a few ideas or none-the-less feel better that the reality of my messy life still inspires me to smile and keep going. So, get comfy and check things out over here cause every good joke needs an audience and I tell ya-I can’t make this stuff up! So, join me and let’s make things happen together!
Now for a little history…
I hope you stick with me after this next sentence, because success is all-inclusive! Before listing any other titles or descriptions I have to that I am believer in Jesus Christ and my professional practices that are based on biblical principles I have learned and implemented to be successful in life and business. He has made it possible for me to be all that I am now.
I am no more talented, gifted or special than you or any other person that God created but I have DECIDED to accept all that I am (pretty-likable yet flawed) to help you start living out the desires of your heart. I grew up an only child of divorced parents and an Air Force brat. We moved from Washington D.C. to Puyallup, Washington (home of the fair with the most delicious onion burgers EVER) where I spent most of my adolescence. For the past ten (almost eleven) years I have been married an awesome man who has dedicated his life to serving our country. Together, we have two little loves we call Munchkin & Peanut! Those degrees I mentioned earlier, they include earned two undergraduate degrees with concentrations in psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling with a concentration in school counseling.
Above all other titles consider myself to be an Overcomer. Why? Because, 1 John 5:5 “Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” I have overcome so many things only by the unconditional Grace and Mercy of Jesus. You name it, I probably did it (twice); addiction to alcohol, heartache, failure, quitting, frivolous retail therapy (AKA debt), depression, low self-image, and the list goes on. I have also been blessed with an awesome circle of people who loved and supported me through those complex and (sometimes dismal) experiences. It is from those dark times and great triumphs that I gained the experience, knowledge and wisdom that I now use to equip others in overcoming obstacles by thinking outside of the box and focusing on idea implementation. Normal is different for all of us, but in every person lies that desire to have an unconditional life, being free to explore, excel and design our best selves. Let’s link arms and journey through curating unconditional lives, together!
